One of the cutest things I can think of are miniature houses (no matter the location), so a miniature house sitting right on the water is the epitome of 'aww.' When in Norway I saw the most beautiful little boathouses. Most of them are used for storing boating gear, but if I owned one I would live in it.

This egg yolk colored house would make even winter days bright and cheery.
This house is wedged into the rock.
I'd love to dive into the water off of these red and white boathouse docks.
This house up on the rocks is pretty spectacular too.
